1. Who we are

Event Banners is a banner, display and event-branding printing service operated by Pixel ADS Company Limited, a company registered in Kenya (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our office is at Mpaka Plaza, 2nd Floor, Rm. 206, Mpaka Road, Westlands, Nairobi.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of this website and to every order you place with us, whether online, on WhatsApp, by phone or in person. By using the website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website or place an order.

2. About you

By placing an order you confirm that:

• you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Kenyan law;
• if you order for a company, church, school or other organisation, you are authorised to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation;
• the information you give us (name, phone number, email and delivery address) is accurate and up to date.

3. Your account

You need an account to check out. We don’t use passwords: we email you a one-time code each time you sign in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and for all orders placed while signed in to your account.

Your orders, invoices and artwork are visible only when you are signed in to your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently, abusively or in breach of these Terms.

4. Orders and how the contract is formed

Product descriptions, photos and prices on the website are an invitation to order, not an offer. A contract between you and us is formed only when we receive full payment for your order, or when we confirm a custom quote or agreement in writing (including on WhatsApp or by email).

Banners are printed to the size you enter, within the minimum and maximum dimensions shown on each product page. Some products have a minimum chargeable area, which the price calculator applies automatically. Product photos show sample artwork and are for illustration only; your order will carry your own artwork.

We may decline or cancel any order before production starts — for example, where a product is unavailable, a price was shown in error, or the content breaches section 7. If we do, we will refund anything you have paid for that order in full.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are in Kenya Shillings (KSh). Banners and fabric graphics are usually priced per square metre; stands, flags, gazebos and other hardware are priced per unit. Your order total, including any upgrades and the delivery fee, is shown in your cart and at checkout before you pay. Prices may change from time to time — for example when material costs change — but a change never affects an order you have already paid for.

Online payments are processed by iPay Africa, an independent payment provider, by M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Visa or Mastercard. Your card and mobile-money details are entered on iPay’s secure page; we never see or store them. Payment in full is required before we start production, unless we have agreed other terms with you in writing.

If a price was displayed incorrectly because of an obvious error, we are not obliged to supply at that price; we will contact you to confirm the correct price or cancel and refund the order.

6. Artwork, proofs and your approval

Every order includes a free artwork check: before printing, we look at resolution, bleed, trim and colour, and contact you if something would compromise the result. The artwork check is a technical check — we don’t proofread your wording.

Where we prepare or adjust a design for you, we send a digital proof before printing. Please check it carefully — especially names, dates, phone numbers, web addresses, QR codes, spelling, layout, size and colours. Your approval of a proof (by any means, including a reply on WhatsApp or email) is your instruction to print exactly what the proof shows.

We are not responsible for errors, omissions or low-resolution images in artwork you supplied, or in a proof you approved, whether the design was made by you or by us. Reprints to correct such errors are charged as a new order.

We are responsible for the quality of our work: the material, print quality and finishing (hemming, eyelets, pole pockets, welding, stitching and similar processes) of the products we supply.

7. The content you give us

You are responsible for everything you ask us to print — logos, text, photos, QR-code destinations and other material (“your content”). You confirm that your content is accurate, that you own it or have permission to use it, and that printing it does not infringe anyone’s rights or break any law in Kenya.

We will not print content that is, or that we reasonably believe to be:

• defamatory, threatening, hateful, or an incitement to violence or discrimination;
• sexually explicit, or harmful to children;
• misleading or deceptive, including impersonation of another person, business or public body;
• counterfeit or fraudulent — including official logos, seals or insignia used without authority;
• an infringement of a copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property right;
• promotion of illegal goods, services or activities.

We may refuse, pause or cancel an order on these grounds. You agree to compensate us for any loss, cost or claim (including reasonable legal costs) that arises because your content breaches this section.

You keep ownership of your content. You give us a limited licence to use it only to prepare, print and deliver your order and to keep records of it.

8. Design services

Where you ask us to design your banner, we agree the brief, the fee and the number of revision rounds with you before we start. Further changes, or changes to the brief after work has started, may be charged separately — we will tell you the cost before going ahead.

When your design order is paid in full, you may use the final approved design for your event or business. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, editable source files, unused concepts and any stock or font licences are not included. We may show completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

9. Colour, finish and quality

Screens display colour differently from print, and PVC, mesh and fabric take ink differently, so small variations in colour between your screen, the proof and the printed product are normal and are not a defect. If exact colours matter, give us Pantone (PMS) references and we will match them as closely as the chosen material allows.

Small variations in finished size, cutting, and the position of hems, eyelets and pockets are normal in large-format printing. Fabrics and mesh vary by nature. These are not defects, provided the result is consistent with your artwork, any approved proof and the product description.

10. Outdoor use, installation and permits

You are responsible for installing banners and displays safely, and for any permission needed to put them up — including county outdoor-advertising permits and the consent of the property owner or venue.

For windy or exposed sites, choose the material and finishing we recommend (for example mesh, wind slits or reinforced hems). We are not responsible for damage caused by unsafe installation, extreme weather, or normal wear and fading over time.

11. Stands, frames and other hardware

Roll-up stands, flag poles, frames, gazebos and other hardware are supplied with your printed graphic. Please check them on delivery and use them as instructed; damage from misuse, overloading or bad weather is not a defect. Hardware that arrives faulty is covered by section 13.

12. Production and delivery

Production starts after we receive payment and your artwork (and, where there is one, your proof approval). Any turnaround or delivery times we give are estimates, not guarantees; they depend on artwork approval, the size, quantity and finish ordered, and the delivery location. We will keep you updated if your order is delayed.

You can collect your order free of charge from our Nairobi office. Delivery costs a flat KSh 300 within Nairobi County and KSh 500 to other counties, shown at checkout before you pay. Please make sure someone is available to receive the order. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery, and ownership passes to you once the goods are delivered and paid for in full.

13. If something is wrong: reprints and refunds

Please check your order when it arrives. If a product is faulty because of our error — for example damaged, printed on the wrong material or finish, the wrong size, or different from your artwork or approved proof — tell us within 7 days of delivery, with photos and your order number, and keep the product so we can inspect it.

Where the fault is ours, we will, at our choice, reprint the affected items at no cost to you or refund their price. Because every order is custom-made, we can’t accept returns or refunds for change of mind, or for errors in artwork you supplied or a proof you approved.

Cancellations: you can cancel an order for a full refund until production starts (or, where we send a proof, until you approve it). After that the order can’t be cancelled. If you cancel a design service after work has started, we may keep a fair amount for the work already done.

Refunds are paid back to the original payment method where possible. See our Refund Policy for details. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 or other Kenyan law that cannot be excluded.

14. Our responsibility to you

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business or missed events, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example power or network outages, supplier or courier delays, strikes, severe weather or government action).

Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for anything that cannot be excluded under Kenyan law.

15. Using this website

You agree not to:

• use the website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, or to place false orders;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, other accounts, our systems or our data, or interfere with their security;
• scrape, copy or reproduce our content, prices or photos in bulk by automated means;
• upload or send anything containing viruses or other harmful code.

The website’s design, text, product photography and logos belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission. Links to other websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

16. Privacy and your data

We collect the information needed to run your account and fulfil your orders: your name, phone number, email address, delivery address, order details and the artwork you upload. We use it to process payments, produce and deliver your order, send receipts and order updates (by email and, where you choose, WhatsApp), prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations. We don’t sell your personal data.

We share data only with providers that help us operate — payment processing (iPay Africa), email and WhatsApp messaging, website hosting, file storage and database hosting — and only as needed for those services, or where the law requires it. We keep order records for as long as reasonably needed for these purposes and for our legal and tax obligations.

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how it is used. See our Privacy Policy, or contact us using the details below.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If there is a dispute, please contact us first — most issues can be resolved quickly. If we cannot resolve it together, the dispute will be decided by the courts of Kenya.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its “last updated” date, applies to orders placed from that date. Orders already placed are governed by the Terms that applied when you placed them.
